Privacy Policy

Motif Suite runs entirely inside Figma. It reads your current selection and writes keyframes to Figma’s Motion timeline. All of that happens locally on your device and is never transmitted to us or anyone else.

The plugin makes network requests in only two cases:

• License verification.When you enter a license key to unlock the paid tools, the plugin sends that key (and, once activated, an installation identifier that LemonSqueezy generates) to LemonSqueezy’s license API to check that your subscription is active. This happens when you activate a key, when you deactivate it, and once at startup to re-confirm an already unlocked install.
• Phone Sync (optional, only if you turn it on). When you pair your phone by scanning the QR code, the plugin connects to our relay server so your phone can act as a remote control. Only tool settings, command names, status text, and the layer and page names needed to mirror what you have selected travel over that connection, never your file contents. See Phone Sync below.

Beyond those two cases the plugin sends nothing: no file contents, no designs, no rendered images of your layers, no vector geometry, no usage or analytics data. Its manifest permits network requests to exactly two domains: api.lemonsqueezy.com (license verification) and motif-suite-relay.fly.dev (the optional Phone Sync relay). Nothing else.

Your license key and installation identifier are cached in Figma’s plugin storage (clientStorage) on your own device, so you stay unlocked between sessions without re-entering the key. You can remove them at any time from the plugin’s Account panel by removing your license, which also deactivates that installation with LemonSqueezy.

Phone Sync is a feature you turn on yourself. When you tap the phone icon and scan the QR code with your phone, the plugin pairs the two over a small relay server we run at motif-suite-relay.fly.dev. The relay is a “dumb pipe”: it only forwards messages between your computer and your phone, so your phone can act as a remote control for the plugin.

What travels over that connection:the tool settings you change, the command names you trigger (like “bake”), status text, and the layer and page names needed so your phone can show what you have selected. What never travels over it: your file contents, your designs, rendered images of your layers, vector geometry, or your Figma file key. Pairing sessions are temporary, expire after a short idle period, and are not stored on the relay.

If you never turn Phone Sync on, the plugin never contacts the relay at all.

Subscriptions are sold and processed by LemonSqueezy, our payment and licensing provider (LemonSqueezy is a Merchant of Record). When you subscribe, checkout happens on LemonSqueezy’s own hosted pages. Your payment and card details go directly to LemonSqueezy and their payment processor. We never see or store your card number. Please review LemonSqueezy’s privacy policy for how they handle payment and account information.

This site, motifsuite.com, is separate from the plugin. A few notes on it:

• Analytics. If we measure traffic at all, we use privacy-friendly, cookie-less analytics (Plausible) that count page views in aggregate. No cookies are set, nothing tracks you across sites, and no personal information is collected.
• Checkout links.The Subscribe and Manage buttons send you to LemonSqueezy’s hosted pages, covered above.

• Figma.The plugin runs inside Figma; your use of Figma is governed by Figma’s own terms and privacy policy.
• LemonSqueezy. Handles payments, subscriptions, and license verification, as described above.
• Phone Sync relay. If you use Phone Sync, a small relay server (motif-suite-relay.fly.dev) forwards messages between the plugin and your paired phone, as described above. It stores nothing.
• Plausible. Cookie-less website analytics, if enabled.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone beyond what is needed to run these services.

You can remove your license (and its locally stored key) from the plugin’s Account panel at any time. To ask what information is associated with your subscription, or to request its deletion, email us and we’ll help. Subscription and payment records held by LemonSqueezy are subject to their policies and any legal retention requirements.

If our data practices change, we’ll update this page and move the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect in the plugin.
