Subscription & Tiers

Four tools are free for everyone, always: Motif Tokens, Motility, Kinetic Type, and Quick Animate. No account, no license, no time limit.

The advanced tools (Camera Man, Physik, Falloff, Gestural Motion, Babel, Repeater, Echo, and Particles) unlock with a single Motif Suite subscription. One subscription covers all of them, plus every Pro tool added later, the composition features (Synergize and Hyper-Synergy) on those tools, and Phone Sync.

During the launch beta, every tool is free, including the Pro tools, so you can try the whole suite. Phone Sync is the one exception: because it runs on a relay we host, it needs a subscription even during the beta. After the beta, the free tools stay free and the Pro tools move behind the subscription. If a tool you are using is about to become Pro, the plugin gives you a heads-up in advance before it locks, so nothing is pulled out from under you mid-project.

Subscribing during the public beta locks in the beta rate of $9 per month for good. New subscriptions move to the standard $12 per month once the beta ends, but if you subscribe during the beta your rate stays $9 for as long as your subscription stays active. Every tool is free to use throughout the beta, so subscribing early locks in the lower rate and unlocks Phone Sync.

Subscriptions are handled by LemonSqueezy. You subscribe from the Account panel in the plugin header, then paste your license key there to unlock the Pro tools on your machine. The plugin only ever sends that key to verify your subscription; it never uploads your Figma files.

Open the Account panel to enter or remove a license key, or to manage your subscription. Removing the key locks the Pro tools again on that install. See the privacy policy for exactly what data is involved.
